DEAR SAINT LUCIA…
Musical event in the Adoration Church
Dear Saint Lucia…. How many times have we written or read this sentence at the beginning of one of the much-loved traditions that accompany us! Sunday 15 December was the underlying theme of a wonderful musical event held in the Church of the Adoration in the Mother House. The coincidence with the foundation date of our Institute was deeply felt by all of us.
The charity initiative, now in its thirteenth edition, has as its director Alessandro Bottelli, a great appreciator of culture and friend-collaborator of our Institute. Over the years, Bottelli has involved renowned Italian writers and composers in the creation of unpublished texts inspired by the saint of light, gifts and sight.
This year, on this very significant date for our Institute, the reading of the texts was entrusted to us Sacramentine Sisters. We let ourselves be influenced by Bottelli's enthusiasm and our voice, together with the words and music that accompanied it, became a special gift.
The Estro Cromatico Ensemble, made up of Marco Scorticati (recorder), Elisa Imbalzano (violin), Marco Angilella (cello), Davide Pozzi (harpsichord) masterfully created the musical part. We enjoyed all the harmony and beauty of baroque music and were projected into a deep and serene atmosphere, a little magical, like the night of Saint Lucia.
